Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) at Central Glass

The health and safety of our employees and visitors, as well as of all those who are affected by our business, is our top priority in day-to-day business. We maintain high ethical and social standards to protect people and the environment. CGG's internal policies take precedence over applicable laws and regulations when they exceed the requirements set forth therein. In order to avoid or minimize the impact of our activities on the environment, we strive to proactively implement new, more sustainable technologies and processes. Our environmental management system is certified according to DIN EN ISO 14001:2015.

HSE aspects are an integral part of business activity planning and decision making. They are handled with the same sense of responsibility and methodology as the aspects of quality, productivity and profitability. This principle applies to all matters within and outside CGG. We therefore expect our suppliers and service providers to meet comparable standards.

 

 

 

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Sustainability

Our efforts towards sustainable development are also integrated in many ways within our organization and implemented in our business relationships with our partners. We have joined the Ecovadis sustainability management platform to account for the consideration of human rights, working conditions, environmental aspects, consumer issues, fair competition or community participation, and to share our sustainable development efforts with our partners. On the one hand, this helps our customers to recognize our strengths. On the other hand, we are happy to take on additional impulses as to what further development potential there is despite our good rating.

    

Central Glass Germany is commited to continual improvement in the areas of environmental protection, occupational health and safety. We set goals, review our progress and report on the results achieved. Compliance with EHS policy is the responsibility of all employees.

Action Guidelines

  1. We want to maintain high ethical and social standards in our efforts to protect the environment. We proactively seek to use new, more sustainable technologies and processes to avoid or to minimize our impact on the environment.
  2. CGG is committed to fully comply with all binding obligations of interested parties. This includes all relevant laws and regulations, permit conditions and other requirements.
  3. The EHS management system is periodically reviewed with special emphasis on possible improvement. The review is the basis for an improvement plan that is included in management activities.
